Look, I could have waited…

I could have updated and customized the theme, I could have done all the research and installed all the perfect plugins…

I could have done all the SEO research and read all the eBooks that talk about building a perfect blog…

Or, I could just step the f**k up and start adding great content.

Nobody ever says “Plugins are king” or “The design/theme is the king”, but there are a lot of smart people talking about how effective great content is. (okay, okay, I’ll say it… content is king.)

And there are a lot of crappy looking websites out there that are proving that every day. (Look at craigslist… crappy looking website, but one of the most popular.)

So what are you waiting for?

Inside you, you have a message, a simple system, or a passion you want to share with the world. You know it, it’s there, and you think about every minute.

That thing is eating you up from the inside, and you would be rich and/or famous if you could only get the word out.

But it’s such a great idea that no plain old blog that’s not search engine optimized and twitterized and facbookified will do.

Meanwhile, the rest of the world, with their semi-OK designs and great content are busy releasing their awesome ebooks, making money, and growing their subscriber base. And meanwhile, they are stealing all your thunder.

Your idea, passion, or whatever is no good unless you tell people about it. Look, when some asks you what your passion is, you don’t run out and get dressed up to tell them.

You put it in plain language and give them the knowledge that lives inside your body.

So, your first step to a great blog is get started. Put your first post up and worry about the rest as you go.

This blog design, and everything that goes into the presentation of the content will change, but I will not hold back my message because it does not look perfect.

If you are looking for an OK… here’s your permission to setup a sub-par looking blog just to get your awesome content out there.
